Live in care offers a unique opportunity for you to remain in your own home, it is a real alternative to having to go into a care home.
It assists you to remain at home with your familiar surroundings and more importantly your things.
The trained carer will live with you, in terms of supporting you in your daily life as you require, this could include:
- Washing and or dressing
- Housework
- Shopping
- Cooking
- Socialising
- Companionship
The live in care will be matched to meet your requirements, they will have the correct training and experience in the level of care or assistance you require.
You and the carer is supported by the care management team of St Jude’s, who will have regular contact with you both. The team also undertake spot check visits to ensure the care is continuing to meet your individual needs.
Live in carers need their own space in terms of a bedroom and short breaks thought-out the day, which they will tailor around your needs and daily routine. The carer is there to help you maintain your independence and enable you to continue to live in your own home, safely.
St Jude’s care has been undertaking live in care since 2009 and each live in care package is put together as the needed to fit the individual requirements of each client.
