The Child Abuse Investigation Unit (CAIT) is run by the Avon and Somerset Constabulary and is staffed by fully trained detectives. CAIT work in partnership with social services, health, education and other relevant agencies in the joint investigation of children suffering or likely to suffer significant harm. CAIT investigate serious offences of abuse against children.
