What can be accessed through the West of England Works programme?
Former Broadway Lodge clients and other people in recovery in the community who are eligible can engage in the service, providing them with access to a range of personal development initiatives to suit their individual needs. This includes support with their recovery as well as access to an array of college courses, volunteering opportunities, money management advice/signposting, help with interview techniques, CV writing and other support required to build on their skills, knowledge and confidence so that they are more prepared for securing employment. Broadway Lodge can specifically provide people in recovery with access to:
- One to one recovery support and personal development plans
- Group support sessions at Broadway Lodge or other specialist services
- Support to access training, educational and personal development courses
- Support to access voluntary work, work taster days and work placements
This invaluable programme strengthens the service we provide to those in Third Stage and Aftercare, helping to significantly improve their future prospects and inspire them to learn and make connections with other organisations and employers.
The outcomes of those engaged with the West of England Works programme have been very positive. Among the many benefits, increased confidence and mental health improvements have been commonly experienced.
