Play Wild CiC offers outdoor play and education opportunities in Weston-super-Mare and the wider area including Forest School, family play sessions, Home Education, school visits and birthday parties. Our base is a secure site in Weston Woods (Wood Lane Quarry) and we can also travel to schools, nurseries, events and community groups as well as tailor sessions to specific needs.

We also offer well-being sessions for parents, carers and other adults and have 1:1 and intervention packages for schools.

Wood Lane Quarry is well hidden but is only a few hundred metres from a main road where on road parking is available and a main bus route runs. Wood Lane is off Bristol Road Lower and access from Wood Lane is initially tarmacked but becomes uneven and cobbled over the last few meters. Wood Lane postcode is BS23 2TR. You will need to walk up Wood Lane to the top of the tarmac and then up into the woods for approx. 50 metres. Play Wild entrance will e on your right. The gates are kept locked so please wait for a member of staff to greet you.

The entrance gate has a What3Words location of Forget.Rarely.Bared. The ground within the quarry is also uneven due to the nature of the site and may not be suitable for wheelchair users, pushchairs or those who find uneven ground a challenge.

Please wear long trousers to avoid scratches and insect bites. It is often cooler under the trees so layers are recommended. Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather.
